Celebrate the 52nd annual Earth Day with Hilltown Land Trust and #GiveBackToTheLand!
Protect the forests, farms, and waterways that provide refuge from busy main streets, traffic, and work.
Hilltown Land Trust (HLT) has protected over 5,000 acres of land since our founding in 1986. That's a lot of farmland, forest, streams and wetlands that make our Hilltown landscapes so special!
Land conservation is a crucial tool in the nature-based fight against climate change.
HLT's service area spans thirteen rural towns: Ashfield, Chester, Chesterfield, Conway, Cummington, Goshen, Huntington, Middlefield, Plainfield, Westhampton, Williamsburg, Windsor, and Worthington. These communities hold some of the most important land to conserve in the state--unbroken forest land that provides us with the air we breathe and gives wildlife the space they need to thrive.
These Hilltowns are adored by people across the region for their scenic beauty, recreational opportunities, and natural areas. We depend on support from people inside and outside these 13 towns to protect the special places of the Hilltowns.
Together, we can forever protect our children’s future nature explorations, critical habitat for wildlife, clean air and water, and the opportunity to take a break and discover someplace new and unknown.
Your contribution to Hilltown Land Trust ensures that more people, like you, can feel inspired by the rustic beauty of the Hilltowns and their remarkable landscapes.
At HLT, our passion for land conservation is contagious! Our public outings and educational events give people an opportunity to get inspired by the outdoors. With us, you can explore nature, learn something new, and have a great time.
Your support is why all of this happens! Whether it's a newly blazed trail, a protected sugar bush or wetlands, critical habitat for rare salamanders or birds, or conserving land for all the generations to come, you are the power behind our work.
Thank you for Giving Back to the Land with us!
